These are all titles I wear with pride. For years, I tried to keep all of these titles neatly separated and compartmentalized into their own boxes. I’d pull out the “mom” title when I got home from work. Dip into the “author” role after the kiddos went to bed. And hid my love of pastels and color because I didn’t think people would take my career seriously if it was painted in pink.
As I’ve learned to unabashedly embrace ALL parts of me, my success as an author has only grown.
Today, I have 6 published books, 100s of 5-star Amazon book reviews, and a real, live literary agent (insert squeal). Pinch me. But, believe it or not, it keeps getting better! I also have coached over three hundred aspiring authors and am absolutely humbled to have a constantly growing community of readers and fellow authors.
Because we’re all multi-faceted humans, why wouldn’t our bookshelves be too?
Around here, you’re inspired to chase your dreams of writing a book and hopping into as many genres as you please. I didn’t have anyone to give me permission to hop into different genres, try on different pen names, and explore every part of my writing abilities. And I certainly didn’t see any real-life examples of people who had done all that successfully.
